Nairobi Life

This week has been hectic! We arrived in Nairobi last Wednesday, on the hottest day of the year they said. It is beautiful here! This week we have have:

  • Been to a Bonfire fellowship
  • Met a TON of new friends
  •  Visited 3 campus'
  • Been swimming at the community pool
  • Settled into our home
  • explored the HUGE compound
  • Met our neighbors
  • Eaten some Awesome food!
  • Eaten ICE CREAM!!
  • Been to a BBQ (which has nothing to do with BBQ but it was still fun!)
God has been so good to me and my team! As the week progress you will get to hear about them many members of our team, our adventures, and the people we get to share with and who you can pray for.

Kasey slept most of the way from Jburg...
I was having fun with the turbulence! Kayla wasn't too thrilled.

 Amy resting!
Our bathroom in our room. The shower is behind the door.
My closet!!

 More furniture in our room.
 Our desk...
Our beds including mural of pictures! I have way more now...
Our second at USIU (United States International University) we got to watch the softball team win 16-2!
Amy, Kasey, Kayla, our new friend from Massachusetts Sorelle, and Ester!
 Winners!!
Then we got to watch some of the guys play football (yep spelled like that!) they are ridiculous!
First time in THREE WEEKS!!!
Oh and ICE CREAM in between games!
Friends watching the football game. The weather was PERFECT!
Sorelle braided my hair back. :)

Didn't she do good?!
On the way to the Pool!!!

Fun in the sun with Ester! Btw, I am used to being the tan one at the pool... I have NEVER been so white considering we were the only Mzungus there.

Playing duck-duck-goose in the kiddy pool.. :)

They are adorable and wanted to touch our hands and feet.

This is Eve. Be praying that I will get to build our friendship so she can share with her classmates.
Meeting some more friends! Funny thing: We were on this campus for 40 mins. By the time we said goodbye, we were all like bffs!

More to come!!
