Tsavo

So some of you may recognize the name Tsavo, some of you may not. This is the home to the man-eating lions. Two lions attacked and killed several men working on a railroad, many years ago. There is also a movie called "The Ghost and the Darkness" which was based here... This is the place we decided to have our "Hands On Debrief weekend". We spent almost three days here, waking up at the crack of dawn everyday for our own fun at safari rides...
 Wait, "Compensation for Human Injury/Death?"
 Chris gave us homework...

I think giraffes are the most beautiful animals!
A leopard! This guys just strolls down the road and dramatically plops down on the side of the road...

Ester! I love this girl..

Mount Kilimanjaro!! :)

A black giraffe?!

Beware of Crocs!

Chad.. typical!

 Bird watching...
Chris got a kick out of bluffing the elephants next to our car. I was pretty sure I was going to meet Jesus one of the times...

Takes my breath away every time...

 Secretary Bird.. It was huge!

All in all a great time, even though we still didn't see any lions or rhinos. :( Oh well! We were so thankful to get back to Nairobi! As soon as we walked in the door, me and Amy settled down to a movie and Oreos. :) We also got to have dinner with some friends by school. It was a blast!

"Humburger" and Game night!

So this Tuesday we met up with our girly friends for Bible Study, in which we are studying James. It has been awesome to talk with each other and encourage each other to live the way Christians need to live. Today only Eve and Susan were able to make it, but we still had a blast!
After Bible Study they helped us cook hamburgers, baked fries, and fruit salad....
 The girls!
She is always up to something...

"Humburgers" with Amos and Vincent..
Funny story: according to African tradition, the women serve the men food first. They also come around to everyone at the table with a bowl, towel, and a pitcher of water so that they can wash everyone's hands. Well, even though we have been living in Africa for 4 months now, we completely forgot about this... So Amos and Vincent are just sitting there, waiting for something to happen... fail for the wazungu. (White people) I considered just telling them, that since it is American night, they can learn to do things we do. But part of us being here is us learning their culture not us forcing them to learn ours! :)
Susan is enjoying this game (Apples to Apples). I think this is the time where someone put "Tiger Woods" down for "Playful"... XD Apparently no one besides us Americans thought it was funny, except Susan. I never realized how much of an American game this is!
Vincent holding up a Waco, Texas card!
 Which one would you pick?

The winner!
Fun night! :)
